Unrealized P&L
The paper profit or loss on an open position you have not closed yet.
Unrealized P&L is the gain or loss at the current mark; it is real enough to move your margin but is not locked in and can vanish before you exit. Realized P&L, by contrast, is the result booked once the trade is closed.
