RSI (relative strength index)
A 0-100 momentum oscillator measuring the speed of recent gains versus losses.
RSI rises as up-closes dominate and falls as down-closes do, with readings above 70 often called overbought and below 30 oversold. In a strong trend it can stay 'extreme' for a long time, so it works best as confirmation rather than a standalone signal.
