MACD
A momentum tool built from the difference between two moving averages.
MACD subtracts a slow EMA from a fast one, then plots a signal line (an EMA of that difference) and a histogram of the gap between them. Crossovers and histogram shifts flag changes in momentum, though like all moving-average tools it lags turning points.
